It was in December 1968 that Bishop Most Rev. R. D’Mello, the then Bishop of Roman Catholic Diocese of Allahabad heard that the mission compound in Akbarpur was for sale. After negotiating with the authorities concerned purchased the mission compound. Bro. Pascal, a veteran missionary and a practicing doctor, who was good both in allopathic and homeopathy medicines was appointed as the first missionary at Akbarpur . There was a case of a woman from Bashkari who was afflicted by paralysis and was been treated in the medical college at Lucknow and latter on at Kanpur, but was of no avail. She was not able to walk and she was carried to the Mission Compound. Bro. Pascal started treating her keeping her in one of the outhouses in the compound. After about a month the paralyzed woman was completely cured and she walked back to her home. That was a very sensational event which made the people to say that a great doctor has come to the mission.

In the mission compound in front of the Gandhi Ashram there were seven horse-sheds which were in dilapidated condition. After demolishing the sheds, in 1972 a building with seven shops was put up to make the mission self supporting. One shop next to the main gate was made into a Jigyasu Kendra, where students from the neighboring colleges could come and spend their leisure time reading newspapers and the literature available in the centre. Jigyasu Kendra also served as a Catholic information centre at Akbarpur.

In 1979 the then bishop Most Rev. B. Mudartha invited “Maids of the Poor” religious sisters from Barabanki to run a technical school for the girls. Together with typing and tailoring classes, girls and women were given lessons in hygiene and child keeping. In 1983 a proposal was put forth before the then bishop to sell those shops to the shopkeepers and utilize the amount to put up an English Medium School. After studying the pros and cons of the local situation and having consulted several people, bishop gave the permission to sell those shops and utilize the amount to put up an English Medium School. The whole of Akbarpur was happy at this proposal who promised to stand by, support and cooperate as this was the first English Medium School in Akbarpur. Mean time in February 1984 the school formally started in the Church building which was idle, then. The first batch, consisted 50 students from the township, hailing from different backgrounds. The formal construction of the school building began on 24th April 1984. Later the school was affiliated to The Indian School Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE- class 10), New Delhi. The provisional affiliation was granted on 10 September 1997 and permanent affiliation on 20 September 2009 and the school was upgraded to The Indian School Certificate Examination ISC - class 12) on 24 September 2010.
